Lena Saito’s solo project galcid originated out of a collaboration with producer and “Synth Maestro” Hisashi Saito in 2013. Through mastering analog machines and Eurorack modular synthesis she developed a style of complete improvisation. Lena collaborated with the likes of Nina Kraviz, Daniel Miller, Oval and Isao Tomita and has been invited to the International Media Arts Festival held in Mumbai and her fame is only growing. In August 2016 she digitally released her 1st album “Hertz” (Detroit Underground), which immediately received praise by Karl Hyde (Underworld), Chris Carter (Throbbing Gristle) and other world-renowned artists. In December 2016, she performed for Boiler Room at TDME. After gathering much domestic intention, Lena is moving towards the international, with performances in Hong Kong (March 2017), Barcelona, Madrid, and London (July 2017).
