Yuseok Bak is visual artist based in Seoul. His work starts with the perspective on the flow of things that are static or moving. He is creating his own territory by breaking the boundaries of various fields, which could be expressed in visual languages, such as VJ, motion design, music videos, etc. His work appears through the contracting of visual languages in a form that is not only simple and smooth, but also rough and complicated. Multiple emotional conditions, from sanative mind to anxiety to an oppressive feeling piled up with apprehension, it has us leisurely drift through the human’s psychological sections. It could be said that it seizes and projects the flow of time and consciousness through the gap between the moments of incidents during the lifetime. The fragments of afterimage, which were born in that way, have emotions organized through the screen or have notions actualized or materialized. Or, His language, which is constructed while moving the other way, is waiting for us at an ambiguous mixed spot.
